BCIT's teaching model includes academic education and non-academic education. Through full-time course, part-time course and distance course, certificate, diploma and degree education can be organically connected. Students may enroll in a certificate or diploma course before proceeding to the degree course. Degree education includes junior, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Authorized by the ministry of higher education, BCIT may award associate's degree, bachelor's degree in technology, master's degree in applied science and honorary doctor's degree. Non-degree education includes a variety of industry and post certificate courses, such as international cargo agent, international interior decoration designer.
