University of California, Davis
Davis is part of the University of California system and operates 11 professional schools. The School emphasizes interdisciplinary research and uses innovative thinking to challenge tradition. The School of Engineering ranks highly in both undergraduate and graduate programs. Graduate programs are very good, especially in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, but medical and business schools are also very popular.
 
College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences
 
The University of California at Davis is outstanding in agronomy and has a strong faculty in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences. Law school
 
The school of Law was officially opened in 1965, and the quality of its teaching and research is so high that it is ranked 38th by U.S. News & World Report Law Schools. It is also one of the most valuable and expensive of the few law schools in the University of California system.
 
School of nursing
 
The School of Nursing continues to push traditional boundaries to advance health care education. The school has the largest nursing education grant in the United States and is a teaching leader in nursing schools. The school keeps abreast of the rapidly evolving medical environment, utilizing new curriculum and educational approaches to program initiatives that prepare students to become skilled and flexible medical leaders. Part of the UC Davis Health System, students and faculty work together for medical emergency medicine and clinical services.
